Offering Seasonal Flavors
Thursday, November 23, 2006
As part of fall, you have probably seen many coffee shops offering seasonal flavors such as pumpkin, apple, and even creme brule. These offerings can be great for your business. The first advantage these coffee products will give you is that it will convince typical drip coffee customers to try out the new higher margin late products. Another benefit that it gives you is that it will tend to convince casual coffee drinkers to come in more often to try the new flavors.
Some of these seasonal flavors can simply be made by buying different flavor syrup from your supplier. Other flavors can be made with a bit of creativity with your current supplies, and possibly even apple juice to create apple flavoring. You could possibly combine apple and cinnamon to create an apple pie flavored coffee drink.
When trying out new flavors, let your creativity shine through and your customers will keep coming back. If you cannot think of anything however, try talking with your supplier as they probably have some ideas on what you can create. Of course, they will then be selling you different syrups and more products than before so it would create a win-win situation for both of parties.
